Madonna and Guy Ritchie have been granted a "quickie" divorce today.
The decree nisi was announced at the Principal Registry of the Family Division in High Holborn, London, but the pair did not attend.
It brings to an end almost eight years of marriage for the former celebrity golden couple who married in a fairytale wedding at Skibo Castle in the Highlands of Scotland on December 22, 2000.
Their case, Ciccone M L v Ritchie G S, was listed before District Judge Caroline Reid along with 16 others for 'Pronouncement of Decree or Order Under the Special Procedure'.
Dozens of journalists filled Court 10 to listen to the names, which were sixth on the list, be read out by a court clerk and then District Judge Reid asked if there were any objections, which there were not.
The hearing lasted just a minute and Madonna and Guy's divorce will now be made official with the decree absolute being announced in six weeks and one day if there are no further objections.
The couple announced their divorce last month It is thought the lawyers worked tirelessly in order to finalise the divorce before Christmas.
Film director Ritchie, with a reported fortune of £30 million, is allegedly not going to take a penny from his former wife who is said to be worth £300 million.
But the agreement states that the couple will share custody of their sons Rocco, 8, and David Banda, 3, who was adopted in Malawi. They will divide their time between New York, where Madonna now lives, and London where Ritchie lives and is currently filming his new film Sherlock Holmes.

Ashlee Simpson-Wentz and husband Pete Wentz welcomed a son late last night.
Bronx Mowgli Wentz weighed in at 7 pounds 11 ounces. "Ashlee, Pete and Baby Bronx are all healthy and happy, and thank everyone for their well wishes!" a spokesperson for the pair said.
It has been reported that the pop star pair named their child 'Mowgli' after the famous character from, 'The Jungle Book'.
Simpson, 24, was spotted leaving her home Thursday morning and heading straight to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles.
It was reported that Ashlee arrived at the hospital shortly after 8am, and doctors induced her labour.
Fall Out Boy guitarist Wentz and her big sister Jessica were believed to be at the hospital to support Ashlee.
While her assistant and her father Joe reportedly showed up at the West Hollywood medical center later in the afternoon. Congratulations from Splash.

She's been there all day so it's presumed that doctors induced labor sometime this morning!

After a long day of filming Sherlock Holmes and dodging questions that he and wife Madonna have come to a divorce settlement, Guy Ritchie stepped out for dinner with his sons Rocco and David at La Vina restaurant in Liverpool.
The word is the divorce could be finalized tomorrow.
