Madonna (50) and Guy Ritchie (40) married in Scotland in 2000, after their first and only biological child, Rocco. They later adopted baby David from Malawi in 2006, receiving mixed responses from the media and public alike over the quick adoption process. Throughout their marriage the couple have mainly resided in their £13 million London Marylebone home, where Guy also owns a local pub called The Punchbowl. But they also own homes in NYC and Wiltshire.
Today the couple confirmed they were divorcing by releasing a joint statement after months of speculation. The statement reads: "Madonna and Guy Ritchie have agreed to divorce after seven-and-a-half years of marriage. They have both requested that the media maintain respect for their family at this difficult time."
This will ultimately be the second failed marriage for the pop sensation, having also divorced Sean Penn in 1989, claiming her career needed to come first. It was sometime after this Madonna fell pregnant with Lourdes, after a brief love affair with her personal trainer Carlos Leon.
Madonna is reportedly worth over £300 million and it's beleived she has already called in Fiona Shackleton, the same lawyer that Sir Paul McCartney used to fight his high profile divorce from Heather Mills. The media are now left wondering how generous Madonna will be with her wealth, having not signed a pre-nup agreement with Guy. They also bought a £3.6 million building in London's West End used as a Kabbalah headquarters, plus a £1.6 million house also used by the spiritual group. Plus luxury cars: £47,000 Audi Q7 4x4, a £35,000 Mercedes Benz and a £58,000 Range Rover 4.2.
Ritchie of course has his own wealth from his various films including Lock Stock And Two Smoking Barrels, but many have speculated he will claim he has had a deserving affect on Madonna's career over the last eight years.

In further Madonna and Guy Ritchie divorce developments, website DateTheUK has offered the soon-to-be-divorced couple completely free memberships to "find new love once their divorce is complete." Since rumors are flying and there's a lot up in the air, it probably wouldn't hurt much at this point. I wonder if Madonna or Guy will take DateTheUK owner Max Polyakov up on this offer?
Polyakov released his condolences for their rough personal life to the press along with his offer, saying that "I really feel for Guy and Madonna, and they must be going through a tough time. We want to be there to help them through this and think that they should get out there and play the field for a while until they each find a new love in their lives."
Well, it's definitely one way to cope!

Madonna and Guy Ritchie's split plans were confirmed in a statement from Freud Communications today, in which they asked us to respect their privacy while they deal with the heartache-- and resultant drama-- that comes with a break-up after almost 8 years.

Madonna's cryptic message during her October 6th concert in New York City. Concert goers got to hear Madonna tell the audience that "In exactly 29 moves, the Queen will dump the King!" She coincidentally had 29 stops left on her U.S. tour-- but it looks like she couldn't wait.

Madonna's jetting out of New York fast! Divorce plans and rumors abound after her
divorce announcement was released today. Snapped her on her way to Boston (and hopefully smaller crowds), Madge managed to make a smooth getaway despite a growing bunch of photogs near her New York place. Sometimes having a big car and tinted windows makes all the difference.

Paris's '80s hair has disappeared! The socialite, "singer," and reality show gal was spotted outside her London hotel. Wearing a pair of covet-worthy Louboutins and an animal-print frock, she couldn't have been too tired-- she was posing for us after all!
Paris recently complemented Guy Ritchie, who has been
busy making headlines himself, on his pub in Mayfair. Paris checked out The Punchbowl earlier this year and said that
"It was cute. I even met Guy Ritchie there, and he was such a gentleman."Paris also gushed about her hotel experience while filming in London, saying that she loves the Sanderson Hotel: "

modern, and the style is so amazing. It doesn't hurt that I'm in the
