It's always about 'The Dress' at the Oscars, but I had great fun looking at the people in the background of these photo's. All in awe and wishing they were on the other side of the rope. We do love our A listers!

Penelope Cruz wins the best dressed female at the Oscars in my opinion. She looked incredibly Spanish wearing a dress not to dissimilar to the one Nicole Kidman wore in her Chanel 5 advert. I do wonder though, when it came to sitting down where did she put it all?

Victoria Beckham looked amazingly well at the 14th Annual Elton John AIDS Foundation Oscar Party: considering she had been snapped looking a little boozed up two nights before with Katie Holmes at Koi restaurant. I would have thought her tiny malnourished frame that’s used to no substance what so-ever would take at least a week to recover from being used. Moving swiftly on from one predictable dig to another: please smile Victoria! Promise it won’t make your head look fat.

Tis’ the season to be jolly, la la la laaa……
Is it me or does Nicole Kidman look like a Christmas gift? Perhaps when her stylist purchased the dress, they took the gift wrap aspect a little too far. I say “vote no to bows†they never look good!

Helen Mirren looked stunning as she arrived at the Oscars! She enjoyed her first steps on the red carpet by waving a British flag, she was truly bringing it home for the Brits! Bookies had reportedly been so sure Helen would win, they were paying out bets even before the ceremony.
Dame Helen Mirren also reportedly turned down thousand of dollars worth of free plastic surgery, including Botox jabs. Many celebs were offered ‘swag bags’, filled to the brim with wrinkle saving treatments, ahead of the big event. Glad to here that Helen is standing by her bid to grow old gracefully, saying “ I’ll try and get away with make-up, jewellery and a nice frock.

Forest Whitaker gave an incredibly moving Oscar speech that brought most of the Kodak theatre and us at home to tears. The humble actor mentioned that he was younger says he never thought he would be a movie star as the only way he was able to watch the movies was from the back seat of his family’s car at a drive in.
A product of the South Central Los Angeles with dreams of Hollywood, Whitaker took home the award for best actor for The Last King of Scotland.
