Anna Nicole Smith's mother broke down today and insisted she knew her daughter would be killed by drugs. Virgie Arthur sobbed as she spoke about her desperate warnings to her larger-than-life daughter and her deadly lifestyle.

Virgie insisted she always imagined her daughter dying the way she did. "Yes - I told her so," she insisted. She says she increased her pressure to persuade her daughter to change her lifestyle after her 20-year-old son Daniel died - while in Anna Nicole's hospital room just after she gave birth to her baby daughter Dannielyn. "I told her even on Nancy Grace when Daniel died I told her then - I said you be very careful baby of who you hang with because you might be next." Breaking down again, she added: "And now she's next." Asked what she think had happened to her daughter she had no doubts as she insisted: "I think she had too many drugs. Just like Danny. "And I tried to warn her about drugs and the people she hung around and ... and she didn't listen." Asked if she thinks the pain from her son's death may have played a part, Virgie insisted: "I think it had something to do with it but she was too drugged up.

I think her mom has confirmed what we all have believed for a long time but there are still so many questions. What happens to Dannielynn? Do we really want Howard K. Stern to have custody of this baby girl? Who gets immediate custody of her? What about the paternity test? How about all the confidentiality agreements she had everyone sign, are they still valid? Are we finally going to get some real insight into her relationship with Stern? Will we finally know what happened to her son Daniel? And what about all that money?

While searching Anna Nicole Smith's hotel room, police found illegal narcotics and prescription medications. No word yet on what the drugs and meds are so we will have to wait till the toxicology report from the coroners office. An autopsy is scheduled for this morning. As tragic as the last several months have been with all the paternity speculation, bizarre TV appearances, slurred award show speeches and the mysterious death of her son, I knew they were going to find something suspicious. *the above photo is from 2005
