Pink sobs at vets

Pink visited her vets yesterday looking distraught and visibly upset following the tragic death of her pet bulldog. The 27-year-old singer was devastated after finding Elvis floating on the surface of her pool after she popped out for an hour. And today it is believed she visited the Vetinary to deal with the disposal of Elvis' body. Her hubby Carey Hart arrived separately in a truck and left twenty minutes later, without the singer. Hart told photographers "She's going through quite a tough time. It's a very personal time. It's quite sensitive." Following his death this month, an insider revealed: "Elvis was like a child to her and Carey. She is devastated." That all sounds a bit over the top to me, and yes, call me insensitive if you like.
Yeah, you're pretty insensitive. Obviously you've never had a pet.
Very sad. When you don't have kids, pets are your kids.
It's not insensitive; you obviously just don't have a pet you really love. If my dog died in a tragic way like that, I would be devastated, too.

As the others have said, you don't understand the concept. When a pet is older and has lived a long life, it's natural. When they die suddenly, it's devastating. So give her a break.
God, I would be devastated if that happened with one of my dogs. I'd never forgive myself.
the sorrow she is feeling is probably unbearable, especially b/c she is feeling responsible for not making the pool inaccessible to her doggy. if you haven't had a dog from the time they were born until their death, you wouldn't feel the parallelism to that of a child. you raise it, feed it, nuture it- just like a child. so imagine if you came home to your child drowned in a pool- the guilt and sorrow would be unbearable. and the fact that she tried to resuscitate him, terrible. i feel for her, knowing what he had to have gone through in his final moments.

just curious...why did Pink and her hubby show up separately? I feel so bad for her. Very sad....Bless little Elvis's heart!

Yes it was insensitive. Your last quote does nothing to show your "not so bad" side. Showing some kind of sympathy for someone who lost a loved animal in such a tragic way would make you "not so bad". It's a terrible way to find him. I put myself in her shoes and imagined how I would feel to lose my dog in such a way. I would be devastated too.

you're disgustingly unsensitive...if my one of my dogs died, I would be absolutely useless for a few months. And to have the whole world watching and expect you to be happy would just feel terrible. Don't be a bastard- give the girl a break.
you animal types are so easy to wind up (my sisters being one of them) - perhaps i'll just stick to enjoying celebrities and leave the pets alone. So hands up - im guilty and sorry i affended all you pet lovers - and really when i said "it was over the top" i meant comparing it to the love of a child. But what would i know hey? And in response to nikki - although it lived a short week, it was the best week a hamster could have ask for.
That is so sad! We have a 14 week old Bulldog ourselves, and he is just like our child! It's really ironic, because my boyfriend had a bulldog 3 years ago, and he accidentally fell in the pool and drowned as well... We can totally relate to her pain...
