What makes them so awesome? Because they donate money & do charity work? Of course they should, they make enough money & have alot of time to devote. I'm sure that those of us who are middle class would like to do the same, but have a hard time trying to make ends meet.

I think what you are missing is, if you are 'middle class' and donate 1% of your income and Angelina donates 1% of her income you are basically donating different but equal amounts of money according to your income. the thing is, she donates more than just money, she donates her time and most important, she donates her name. how many people do that? how about this; how many people donate as much money and time as she does without a religious agenda? How many people donate their time and donate money without a political agenda? (and don't you dare say that being generous or a humanitarian is a political agenda in its' self). She donates her time and money because this is what we as people are supposed to do. You may not understand that we as humans are supposed to look after one another and think that this all could be a clever ruse but she could walk away from acting (or modeling depending on who you ask) and her and her family would be set for generations.Bad mouth her all you want for her acting but don't ever bad mouth someone for using everything they have to help people for nothing in return.

To Christopher....don't assume that I don't donate, infact, I do sponsor 2 children through World Vision & every year I buy a family (again through WV) what I can afford. I also devote my time to help in an old age home, where a family member of mine is ill. I do what I can, however, what I don't agree with is the way that she is glamorized for doing it. There are many aid workers out there who do this as a living & they do not receive the recognition they deserve....also, that 1% may not be much to you or others, but it's alot to people who are just scraping by (like many of my friends), even though they are considered middle class, their pay is a far cry from it.

I don’t think Angelina glamorises what she does at all. I agree with Chris that she uses her name to highlight causes. I also don’t think Chris was claiming that you or people were not donating, but merely stating she should be applauded for attitude toward these causes. Look what she has got brad doing since they got together.For all of you that donate, that’s a wonderful thing, recognised in the public domain or not.

Who applauds the aid workers out there everyday taking risking their lives & well being?

Angelina jolie is in the public eye. She will obviously get more attention, doesnt mean aid workers go unnoticed. I would like to think that aid workers would be annoyed at people rowing over whether they get more attention than a star. hopefully they didnt become an aid worker to get attention.

I agree with 11:31 am....I'm starting to think that the kids are for show & tell. I'm sure she's a great mom when she needs to be, but I'm also sure that the nanny does most of the work. She also never smiles in any of the pics I've seen of her with Shiloh (people mag)like she does with the other 2 kids. Why?

angela jolie is my idol. she has 2 daughters and a son. anyone who could take the time to raise 3 children under the age of 5 has my uttmost respect. brad pit said he is a real push-over for his oldest daughter.he said he feel like his life is now complete. angela jolie said she wish her kids can go to disneyworld like other kids without all the attention. she also said brad and her looking to raise their children like a normal family. i love the fact that they look beyond color.
