Today Heather Mills made an appearance at Finsbury Circus to launch an auction for celebrity shoes on eBay to raise funds for the Mines Advisory Group charity but in stark contrast to the mobbing that Sir Paul McCartney experienced when he made a public appearance a few days ago, the Daily Mail in the UK is reporting that no one bothered to show up. The Mail goes on to say that '...the only members of the public who paid any attention were a couple of office workers eating their sandwiches in the square.' I'm sure there is a clever joke in there about people not showing up because they want their shoes to come in pairs but as this is a classy blog I will let you drop your jewels of wisdom in the comments.

What is going on in Hollywood with all of these divorces, reconciliations, new friendships, and assaults? Paris Hilton is involved in 3 out of the 4 stories and if we follow her MO, I'm sure we will see a depressed Kid Rock being comforted by Paris' tongue but in the meantime, why are Travis Barker and soon-to-be ex-wife Shanna Moakler having dinner together at Mr. Chows? (which is Travis' favorite restaurant if you watched their reality show) Shanna just had a divorce party in Las Vegas with an appropriately themed cake. Travis was caught tonguing Paris Hilton at a Playboy party. Then there was the Paris vs Shanna smackdown at Hyde and to top it off, Travis and Shanna have been going back in forth about Paris having an STD and taking her Valtrex medication. After partying through the Thanksgiving weekend, Paris Hilton and Britney Spears hit up popular Hollywood club Hyde once again but is all this partying, hanging out with Paris Hilton, her lack of a stylist (girl needs one bad) hurting her comeback? After filing her divorce papers, Britney returned to the studio in New York to work on her album with marathon recording sessions but since returning to Los Angeles, Britney has done nothing but hit the town with notorious party girl, Paris Hilton, worrying her record label (Jive). The New York Post goes on to report that 'she has been missing recent recording sessions because she has been out all night partying' although her representative denies this and stated she is not scheduled to record at this time. If we look at Britney's current career status in Vegas terms, dropping K-Fed put her up, much like a good run at the blackjack table, but does hanging out with Paris Hilton cause her to break even right now if she walks away from the table or put her in the hole, chasing that next card? Pamela Anderson has struck first in the post-divorce filing war of words blaming Kid Rock's temper and 'male insecurity' for the break-up according to The New York Post's Page Six. According to these 'sources,' Rock blew up at Anderson's appearance in the new 'Borat' film after a private screening. In the film fake Kazakh reporter Borat, played by Sacha Baron Cohen, falls in love with Anderson after watching an episode of Baywatch and drives across the US to ask her to marry him. Rock told Anderson 'she had humiliated herself' and told her, 'You're nothing but a whore! You're a slut! How could you do that movie?' Does Kid Rock know who he is/was married to? This is a woman who's first gig was the face of Labatt's Beer after being spotted in the crowd at a football game. She has posed in Playboy, several times. Her first 'real' acting job was as the 'Tool Time Girl' on the TV show Home Improvement. She went on to do a TV Show called Baywatch that required her to wear nothing but a red bathing suit. She has enormous breast implants that border on cartoonish and you can purchase two homemade sex tapes; one of her and ex-husband Tommy Lee and another of her and former boyfriend and Poison lead singer Brett Michaels. What's next? Kid Rock figures out that petroleum reserves are being depleted and we need a dependable and affordable alternative energy source? Or that Paris Hilton 'might' be promiscuous? Based on the novel by Cecelia Ahern, P.S., I Love You is about a Holly (Hilary Swank), a young widow coming to grips with the loss of her husband to a brain tumor and in the process of grieving finds 10 letters that her husband wrote before his death that are intended to help ease her pain and start her new life. In other Hilary Swank news, ex-husband Chad Lowe appeared on Extra TV last night and responded to Hilary Swanks Vanity Fair interview where she states that Chad's substance abuse led to their split, saying 'I was disappointed that the details of our relationship became public,' but he admits, 'They were absolutely true, absolutely true. I've been sober for three and a half years and very grateful for that.' Lowe goes on to say 'I am so grateful to Hilary for her support of me in a very difficult time in my life three and a half years ago. What hurt me more than anything is that people would think that she wasn't there for me and she was...She was the love of my life and that's not something you just shut off. I will always love her.' What, no mention of how much it hurt that she thanked everyone under the sun except you during her Oscar acceptance speech?
