One of Hollywood's legendary strip club has gone up in the flames. Firefighters were called to the the Body Shop on Sunset Boulevard at 7am this morning as flames shot through the roof.
The Body Shop, which ironically calls itself the hottest location in town, is Los Angeles' oldest strip club with over 100 regular dancers. Situated across the road from the Chateau Marmont Hotel, the club is also one of the few clubs in Hollywood that features totally nude dancers. The club is probably most well known for being a hangout for Sunset Strip regulars Motley Crue, who mentioned it in their 1987 hit Girls, Girls, Girls.
Actress Demi Moore spent months at the club researching her role for the movie Striptease while singer Pink reportedly hired four lap dancers from the club to give her lessons to learn how to strip. And the club's website also boasts Jude Law as one of it's customers.
And all this just before Christmas. What are Hollywood's meth dealers going to do now with so many out of work strippers?
Jason Alexander, who was married to Britney Spears for a total of 55 hours has been sentenced to 10 days in jail for violating the terms of his 2006 DUI arrest.
"Jason messed up and he knows it," an insider tells Star. "He's going to keep his head down, stay out of trouble and hopefully he won't have to serve the entire 10 days."
Alexander was sentenced to a court ordered alcohol rehab and educational program that required two visits to the county morgue. A sort of scared straight, you drink, you drive, you end up here kind of thing but instead of following the judges orders, he skipped both appointments.
He is currently behind bars in the LA County's Twin Towers complex, where Paris Hilton did her part of her stint, and is scheduled for release on December 9th barring an early release for good behavior.
